WHY AM I A COUNSELLOR?
I am a counsellor because I am inspired to help people who are struggling with issues in their lives and who have the courage to engage with those issues within the counselling relationship. I believe that each human being is uniquely valuable and has the capacity within them to move forward in whatever situation they find themselves.
I bring to the counselling relationship the core conditions of openness, empathy and being non-judgemental as well as consistency, good humour and a desire to help my clients fulfil their goals. I am a Registered Member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and am committed to working within their ethical framework.
Counselling provides a safe and confidential space to discuss your concerns, where for a period of time you can choose what to bring into the room and what to leave outside.
What is Integrative Counselling?
I am trained in Integrative Therapy which I received at the University of East London having studied a BACP accredited course in Counselling & Psychotherapy.
Teenagers & Young Adults
Having spent much of my working life engaging with young people as a Youth Worker I have developed a special empathy with teenagers and young adults.
